The Legend of the Seven Dreams explains why I dedicated many of my resources to Hi-End Audio Equipment. Eventually, I settled with the British Approach (Naim Audio, LINN Products, etc.) and created one of the first websites on the web dedicated to audio fundamentals. Years later, I discovered that my hearing sensitivity was, by and large, due to my Asperger’s.

He picked the Naim Audio remote to reduce the volume of “Brother Wind” and said to her:

- On the occasion of Jerry’s death, I was checking my archive to share a couple of artifacts with Jeanne and Scotty. A mail came from Medium on an authors challenge on the topics of Reentry, Space, Work, and Death. This coincidence made me write this to them:

Camel’s iconic Ice also requires a decent audio kit to be fully enjoyed. The engineering challenge to produce Analogue to Digital Converters to digitise the material as well as Digital to Analogue Converters to reproduce it (and still give to the audience the shivers that the original was giving) was enormous.

Subject: Your Competitions on Reentry, Space, Work, and Death

Dear Sir\Madam,

I am not interested in competing, I just want to make the case to your panel that the winner(s) ought to encompass all four topics in their stories.

I know the importance of Space. I am risking Death for it since age 15 when I started smoking. You see, I do not smoke for the joy of smoking per se (my first puff was as bitter as anyone’s). Its initial sweet dizziness soon offered no further comfort other than craving relief. I, like most, smoke to claim some extra space. My puffs help me claim extra space and give me a break from what is constraining me. From the boring fellow student in high school to the boring colleague or the boring task. Smoking signals to others that I am reentering a break, a private mode, piss off! Or it can signal the creation of joint space between those I want to smoke together. It is not much different from fleeing one’s native land, at times risking death, for quality space to live and work.

But even computing, my Work, started with the intention to generate personal space. You see, when I started back in 1981, aged 12, most were unaware of what computing is; never mind what it can be. Computing shielded me from the control of others. It also helped me define my identity! I was not the son of a famous/popular father anymore! Whatever I was doing, was anonymous, authentic, true, and real me. I got so used to it that given the choice, I even changed country aged 17. I claimed even more…
